Every once in a while, a user decides, "I'm going to sit in front of my computer and play a computer game all day!" Well that day came today for "coldeye" who played for over 11 hours straight. Congratulations for setting a new time played and kills record on FPN. Read on for more details...

What began back around 11:00am EST on digi.fastping.net, was a normal occurance. A player with the handle of "coldeye" connected to Digi for a little 24/7 de_dust action. What followed was a lot of swearing, a lot of tears, and a few trips to the bathroom. What began as a quest for just some simple fun and shooting of friends, turned into a quest for glory, a quest for the record, previously set at 481 kills on Digi over a period of 9 hours. (The name escapes me, but I have the kills / time written down)

Time progressed and he just kept on playing, and playing, and playing, and playing. Other players joined and left, and he stayed on, trying to find some way to cure his boredom of having a real life. As the cans of energy drink built up around his chair, and daylight began to scare him, he played into the night. I joined the servers a few times while he was plyaing, to cheer him on and see how long he would last. It was a very good run indeed...until a fateful moment...

When the Connection error appeared, we all wondered what happened. What happened, was a lone hairdryer, plugged into the same surge protector as the server, killed his 11+ hours of glory. And in that brief time, a new record was born, view the screenshot to see the final tally as the server crashed.

FPN sends out its congratulations and achievement of the "No Life Award", to "coldeye". Hope you get some sleep now...
